Virus emails blasting my inbox

Virus emails blasting my inbox

I have tons of emails with virus I am getting, just today I've got around 500 of them, and the end of the day is not near, it's only 5PM, Norton warns me the virus has been deleted and I have to click finished button everytime, this is a pain in the ....

If someone know how to get rid of them without clicking on "finished" everytime please help me.

yepp... it's funny but I don't think it's easing off at all - in fact, if anything I think it's getting worse.

I just wish email gateways would block all executable attachments... it would seriously reduce the amount of virus traffic - and if people want to send them, they can zip them up.

Hell Dragon...then they unzip them and get infected and you are back where you started.....it won't change a thing...

It is geting worse, because now, are not only the viruses that we receive, but also the huge amount of answers from some servers who are saying that we have send them e-mails with viruses!!!
I have deleted all my received e-mails and I went out for 3 hours and when I have re-open my e-mail I found 2.354 new e-mails with viruses
It is really geting worse!

Ah, many reasons for why nothing will change.

But only one really matters in the end.

If it can be made it can be broken.

Jafo... your right.

Viruses would just start sending .zip files instead to get around that... and if you've got an idiot on the other end, nothing is going to stop him clicking on that 'wicked screensaver'

Virus writers? bahh... I blame the idiot users out there clicking on unknown attachments.

I checked with my ISP and they're deleting the attachments but not the whole message. So I'm not getting the  virus in the email but I am getting the emails. It has gotten worse the last two days. Mine isn't as bad as yours Nikos, only about a thousand a day,  but it's still driving me nuts. I'm wasting about two hours a day deleting emails from the two servers that I'm getting them from.

I think I'll ask the ISP if they can delete the whole thing instead of just the attachment. Spam is starting to increase again too...

In the last few hours I've noticed it slowing down... (fingers-crossed it will stay that way... until the next one at least)

I’d have to say that overall it's been the worst virus I've been effected by... and I wasn't even infected!

They are getting ready to make an arrest. According to MSNBC it is a teenager out for kicks. Wonder what will happen to him?

Yes, it is true, this is the best description of the situation that keeps making us wasting our time!
