Search items highlight unable to read text

Suddenly when searching for an app the highlighted area has suddenly turned bright and the text remains white is impossible to read.

This just started happening a few days ago and I'm not sure what changed to make this happen.

Does anyone have and ideas?

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately I cannot download the bat file, it keeps getting failed to download in firefox and chrome.

It should be an instant download on both browsers .

Try shutting down your AV program .

Or do you have other security software stopping the download maybe ?

I only have Windows 10 built in virus and security running and no other security software, so not sure what's blocking it 🤔

Hello,

If you change Start10 to use "Modern Style" from "Windows 7 Style" does the text appear? And if you change from Windows 10 Light mode to Dark Mode. Does the text appear?

Thank you.

I am already using Modern Style.

My windows theme is currently set to dark. I tried changing back to light, and then back to dark again and the problem remained in both themes.

Any luck on doing the purge?

Thank you.

Okay so for some reason I could not download the .bat file, every browser on my PC would not allow it (firefox, chrome, edge, internet explorer), and all had either a network error message or a download failed notification.  I tried disabling my Antivirus and firewall but it still didn't work. I suspect it must be something to do with my router, although I couldn't figure out what setting could be causing that.

I resorted to downloading the purge.bat on my phone using my mobile internet connection and then transferring it to my PC...and after running, restarting and re-installing the latest version it's now fixed and working perfectly! I can finally see the highlighted item text!

Thank you for all your help :)
