Any way to remove animation for dragging items on desktop/fences?

When enabling fences there is a noticable lag or increased animation time when dragging around icons/shortcuts etc. This worsens a lot when I have a lot of data (e.g. folders with normal file content) on the desktop (I guess the whole desktop is an "invisible" fence?).

But even with only a few icons on the desktop it increases substantial lag, I made a short GIF of it: https://gph.is/g/aj1b3NB

Hopefully it is somewhat visible, dragging icons with fences enabled feels like it wants to align automatically in a grid and then adds some sort of "move to that position" animation to it which makes everything feel (and work) slow.

Any way to remove that behavior?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, there is no such option currently available in Fences v3.0.9.11. But, there were few Feature request put in, requesting such option be included in the future. I however can not tell you if or when such feature be added.

Thanks

You can test the difference - if any - if you disable 'Auto-arrange icons'

Hi, that is turned off already. I have "Align icons to grid" activated but that's one I obviously want to keep.
