Microsoft Edge Beta no longer works with Groupy

I noticed today that Groupy is no longer working with the official public build of Microsoft Edge Beta (Version 78.0.276.8 beta 64-bit). I have it setup to only group when holding down ctrl and when I drag a window over it it turns grey like normal but when I let go nothing happens. When I drag an Edge window over another app nothing happens at all. I get it's a beta build but I love the new Edge Beta and use it at home and work all day as my primary browser so it's a MAJOR annoyance. Any suggestions?

Having the same problem. I get a notice in the corner that I can't group non-responsive windows. But the window is working fine.

Fun with Beta Versions, right?

Hello,

It is likely a security thing and would be out of our control.  If they are blocking us loading into their process, we cant group.

What version of Office 365 is your computer showing as 1909 build 12026.20264 is not showing problems and I doubt Microsoft would make such sandboxing changes to the office products due to their compatibility needs.

I too, on that version, am not seeing any issues:

Office 365 64 bit MSO - 16.0.12026.20194

I am not seeing that (what would be an earlier) version here:

Regardless, perhaps a purge and reinstall of Groupy is in order:

So I installed a new update (78.0.276.14) and while it still doesn't work the behavior has changed slightly. Now when I drag a window over it, it states "Cannot group a window that is not responding."

Yep, I got the same problem when I updated to the latest Edge Beta. Same thing happened with the latest versions of Chrome and Brave browsers.

Looks like it's a Chromium project code problem...

Chrome just started doing the same to me today using Version 78.0.3904.70 (Official Build) (64-bit). The thread mentioned that you would be releasing a version that would compensate for it, if it came back...so I assume a work around will be implemented soon?

OK, both the Brave browser and the MS Edge Beta have been updated and are now working with Groupy again.
