Chrome in app mode no longer groups

Ever since Windows 10 update KB4515384 (link), Chrome window running in "app" mode no longer groups.

A previously saved group does appear as grouped when the system is restarted but is very buggy (ghosted windows, tabs do not switch between windows, etc.)

Currently running Groupy version 1.25.

Thanks!

Hi AzDude,

I downloaded purge.zip, ran the .bat file, rebooted, re-installed and still the same issue. What else could we try?

Thanks!

Unless I am missing something you are doing, on both the general release of Win10, and the fastring, I am not seeing any grouping issues or tabbing with WinKey + ~ :

Saved groups with Chrome is always tricky as you need to ensure that all instances of Chrome are closed before you open a saved group with Chrome Windows Included:

Thanks, Sean.

It looks like the video shows normal Windows apps and not Chrome running in app mode, no?

Also, what does the WinKey + ~ do? Is that a shortcut to make Chrome in app mode group?

WinKey + ~ will cycle through grouped apps in Groupy

Hi sdRohan,

I was able to create a group using the method described above. The method I was using before was to do the following:

  1. Create a shortcut of Chrome somewhere on the system
  2. Open its property menu
  3. Click on the "Shortcut" tab and enter the following in the "Target" field:
    1. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome Beta\Application\chrome.exe" --app=https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions
  4. Click save

Here's the screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cUElFEIoW-V

Could you test if the method I described works for you?

Thanks!
