Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have configure Start10 to use Windows 7 Style or Modern Style. Double Click on Start10config icon to start Start10 config. And choose one of this two styles.

Did the choices you suggest and if the Stardock menu is open on the left side of the screen the Windows 10 boxes disappear but are allows there otherwise. I do ‘t Want them there at all. How do I accomplish that in Windows 10 in Parallels on my Mac?

I have Stardock 10 installed. It gives me the old menu on the left side of the screen. That is good. What is not desired is still seeing all the boxes of Windows 10 on the screen for various choices like Microsoft store, and others that let me click on . them to start programs. I just want the screen with a basic picture for the background and none of the Windows 10 boxes. How can I turn them off. While using Stardock in the past I didn't have Movies & TV box, Skype box, a weather box, a groove music box, etc. that I could click on to access these various services. I just want the screen with the picture I have chosen as a background and the files, folders, etc.  I have had on my desktop in the past

You can use this guide to turn it off

Try it and report back here.
