Blurry start menu

Hello,

Sometimes it happens that the Start Menu making the screen "hang".

So for example; when you open start menu, all is OK
When you close start menu, the size of the start menu stays blurry visible (transparant)

So you have constantly your left bottom screen filled with blurry transparent in the size of the Start Menu.

After that you can again open the Start Menu again and it works OK but when it closes its again blurry.

The fix: Log off and Log on and it works properly again. It already happened sometimes.

Any idea? I try when I see it again, to make a screenshot.

Just make sure to re-download the latest version again from your account, reinstall that version, reboot and retest it. Report back here.

Hi Neil,

 

Yes I think we have WindowBlinds

 

When I go to Style > Appaerance > I see at the bottom: "Using WindowBlinds skin"

but i cannot change that.

Could that be my issue ?

Hello,

I think Neil still on Summer break and will be back by Monday 8th. If you could check do you have Windowblind theme applied? If so what WB theme?

And you can also use Standard Start10 Theme using the selection below.

We use Rounded Windows 7.

If there is no known issue , then I will try to get a screenshot when it happens again!

Im not sure, because, it happens to multiple clients and I did do some stuff. I will do this for this client too now. To make sure.

I hoped there was a logic for it.

Every so often, the start menu goes completely blank, no icons at all.
I've tried the purge.bat file and reinstalled Start10, still happens occasionally.

Anyone else experience this issue or could point me to the right thread.

It happened today again. This is a completely different Windows installation than in the earlier video. (Server 2019)
The video is Server 2016.

It must happen more and to more people. I hope you already have a fix? Again a screenshot of the new server bug. (Also version 1.75)

I imagine the reason we do not get reports is because that could not happen with the default theme due to how it works.

I will have a look to see if there is anything obvious that can be changed though it might be an OS level issue.
