Which Monitor do you have?

Which Monitor do you have?

I have just replaced my ageing 17 inch Mitsubishi Diamond Pro with a 15 inch Hercules ProphetView LCD. I opted for this model as i found it gave one of the clearest and best quality pictures around compared with all the others i looked at.

So what are you guys running for monitors and what would you recommend for others who are diving into the LCD/TFT market.

24" Sony GDM-FW900 I love it but it's a beast!! Has to be pushing 100lbs. It'll do until LCD's mature a bit more.. The picture always seems grainy to me. Maybe I'm just imagining that though.

viewsonic superbrite 17" i finally got rid of the old 17" i was using for years, it was getting blurry and gamma just plain sucks ( in game max brightness, and montior max gamma and brightness and i cant see inside rooms in 1942

Btw viewsonic flat panel superbrite is highly recommanded by me very sharp details, good brightness ( normal ) and amazing brightness at gamer mode.

Viewsonic MB110 21" on one machine, Samsung 950p 19" on second machine, old 20" Mac monitor with adapter hooked to kids machine. Waiting on the lottery to buy a Samsung 240-T.

Philips 15 inch LCD. I got it at Best Buy as a store display model. It didn't have a box so they sold it to me for 200.00 a year ago. Like I needed the box?? I absolutely love it. Before that I had a 19 inch Sony Triniton that was nice but it must have weighed 100 lbs. Too much for me to tote around. Sold it to my ex-landlord for 100.00. He got a heck of a deal because I think I paid close to 650 for it. This Philips is a beautiful monitor but a 19 inch would be better. Don't we always want more??

one of my friends has one of those 24" apple flat monitors. the thing is huge and only 1.5 " thick.

That is a very sweet monitor. (It's actually 23" I think ... great value though.)

PLUS you dont have to deal with Apple

Actually dealing with Apple is far better than CompUSA.

About 2-3 years ago CompUSA had my wife's iMac for 5 weeks and still had not fixed it. I called Apple to complain. Apple sent me a brand new unit and chastised CompUSA for being incompetant.

Guess who I buy my extended service from now? (At least for Apple products?)

He might not be imagining it, but he was talking about a CRT.

if it do make you another Jario just by having it, let us know and I will sell one of my cars quick and pick one up!!

Sounds sweet, I did get a chance to play with the dual G4 with the 23 C HD at CompUSA a while back and if was wild to say the least.

For some reason or another I was always charged with the duty of being class monitor and I was a strict disciplinarian in all my teachers’ absences.
