Which Monitor do you have?

Which Monitor do you have?

I have just replaced my ageing 17 inch Mitsubishi Diamond Pro with a 15 inch Hercules ProphetView LCD. I opted for this model as i found it gave one of the clearest and best quality pictures around compared with all the others i looked at.

So what are you guys running for monitors and what would you recommend for others who are diving into the LCD/TFT market.

18" NEC MultiSync LCD 1860NX...digital...VERY nice! Great picture quality...am happy with it. Got a great deal...same price as an analog Samsung 17" (which I traded in for it). Glad I made the switch, and the saved desktop space alone makes the LCD SO worth it!

17" Dell M782 True Flat. But I'm looking into a CTX PV7722E 17" LCD or a Sony StylePro 18" LCD

I find that the LCD monitors have a bit more room to grow. So far they don't match the sharpness of my Dual 19" trinitrons (at work) and a single 19" trinitron (at home)

15 inch Hercules ProphetView LCD.

I just bought the same monitor in the beginning of the year. I got the 17 inch one. It was the only one with the clearest screen.

Gateway 17" (Mitsubishi Diamondtron flat screen)...which is nice, but after working on a 22" behemoth at work, it seems puney.

I would *really* like to get an 18" or 19" LCD...but am still shopping around. Costco has Princeton 19" LCD for under $600....hmmm.

#36 by digitaljames - 20" Apple Cinema Display

QUICK KONA, you distract em and I'll make a play for the screen!

That's a seriously sweet display, I was checking them out at CompUsa in the Apple
area. The 23 inch HD (as in HD-TV) displays pictures that looks so real I was shocked.

Yay, my very first post -
I just graduated from my 19" Dell CRT to the Apple 23" Cinema HD... the biggest payoff by far is in Photoshop - you get to work on EVERYTHING at 200-600 Zoom, which is something i appreciate, and you have TONS of realestate at that zoom level.
Anyways here is some advice for anyone getting a new monitor - id highly reccomend buying any monitor over $600 from a place that sells "extended warranties" such as BestBuy or CompUSA - usually dealing with these "loosers" is a pain in the butt to anyone that knows anythign about a computer, but i have allready traded my $2000 monitor in once - and with the extended warranty it extends the manufacturer's warranty from 1 Year to 2 years, PLUS you dont have to deal with Apple (not sure if dealing with CompUSA is any better tho X_x). $100 is not much to pay to ensure your investment doesn't bomb out after 90 days

Now if only this big screen would make me instantly l33t like Jairo Boudewyn...
