Steam Achievements

The crises appear randomly, and I think the most I've ever had was 3 in a single game, so you can't really rush to get them except by playing a lot.  There's still one I haven't gotten, since it's never appeared in my games.

As for the ideology achievements, play on a big map that has lots of planets with very few opponents so that you can get a whole lot of colonization events, build the ideology producing buildings on all your planets, and don't be in a hurry to win the game.

I got my first crisis.   Space monster.   So how does one complete the crisis?  I have never seen this space monster, and it has been awhile.   thanks!

it takes a few turns.  Crisis part 1 appears, then wait for crisis part 2 (different choices).  Then wait a few turns for crisis conclusion.  Not all crisis conclusions provide a crisis manager upon success.

also, if you fail the space monster crisis, and don't have any fleets prepped, prepare to be devastated   It isn't terribly  hard to beat the space monster, unless it comes pretty early.

right.  It takes several turns.  Crises are sort of a strange mechanic in all of this.

Also, my 20 Artifacts achievement has not triggered, even though I have clearly used more than 20 charges.   Maybe not 20 unique artifacts yet, though.

All this bug weirdness is what got me on hiatus from Galciv3 for a long time in the first place.  The $15 Steam sale for Retribution is what got me back into it for the moment.

for what it is worth, I've seen quite a few crises, through quite a few variable states.  I've gotten crisis managers, and have sometimes been frustrated, and sometimes elated, by the results.  I suppose ymmv

Looking for the space monster.....

Wow.    Just built 28 hyperlanes, won the game, and still did not get credit for the 20 hyperlane achievement.   And I count and re-count the hyperlanes, and there are very clearly 28 of them.

I think I'm done.

I've not even tried to get that achievement yet. Has anyone else gotten it?

I have that same problem... I also made 28 coincidentally. no achievement. my powers one totally worked though.

I have built over 25 hyperlanes in two separate games so far, and still have not triggered the achievement. It's broken.
