Deskscapes wallepaper vanishes afte a few seconds

Hello, 

I recently installed DeskScapes after seeing some of the jaw-dropping animated backgrounds.  Problem is that after "Apply to all Monitors" 

the wallpaper shows for 3-5 seconds then vanishes.   I looked in Win10 Settings  in the "Background" tab and it shows as the second picture.  Even if I select  it here, again it only last for 3 second then goes back to black.  

Is there anyway of seeing what is overriding  the wallpaper?   

I would also add that I use DisplayFusion from Binary Fortress to control multiple monitors but this has all the wallpaer settings switched off. 

Any ideas?
