Enabling Auto Grouping for Office 365 2016 Apps

Am running Groupy 1.2 and Office 365 2016 on my computer.  Recently I accidentally ungrouped  Excel 2016 and now see that Group Tabs no longer appear on my Office 365 apps (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).  How can I re-enable Groupy?  Also how do I enable Groupy on an Application like Adobe Acrobat? (to automatically appear when run like it does for Windows Explorer)

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. You will need to

1) Make sure Groupy is enable.

2) Manually group Excel or word or ppoint. Use the way to group as you set. Sshot below show that need to press shift while dragging the program ontop of each other.

3) After the apps are grouped there will be 3 dot tabs to the right of the tabs. Click on it and choose "Automatically group all......"

That should do it.

Acrobat will not group unless you disable the sandboxing feature in acrobat settings as it blocks anything like groupy impacting it by default.

Frustrartingly my Excel (Office 365) files no longer automatically group with Groupy 1.2. Word files group; PowerPoint files group. But Excel files stopped grouping despite being set for automatic grouping. I can manually group them, but they won't group automatically. I stress that Groupy is set for Excel files to automatically group.

Windows 10 build 1903 (problem started before installing 1903). Excel 365 is the current version 1905, build 11629.20214 Click-to-Run - on the monthly channel (Targeted).

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks very much.
