Start10_64.dll is either not designed to run on Windows

Hello,

I'm running Windows 10 1903 x64 and Start10 v1.7.

The problem is when I try to run msra.exe (Windows Remote Assistance, built-in), I get the following error:

"Windows Remote Assistance: msra.exe - Bad Image : C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10\Start10_64.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000428. "

When I uninstall Start10, msra.exe works just fine.

After reinstall of Start10, the problem appears again.

Any advice on how to solve this?

It looks like Microsoft have messed up in 1903.  Any third party dll loaded up (Deskscapes, WindowBlinds, Groupy) appears to trigger the same error message.

You would need to report this defect to Microsoft as it is entirely on their end, there is nothing we can do to resolve this.

I understand this is an older topic, but it's the first result when I searched up this issue. I found that Windows 10 has another tool called Quick Assist, which works a lot better but seems to require a Microsoft account on the assister's end. For example, when I help another person using Quick Assist, I have to log in to a Microsoft account, but they don't have to. Start10 and other third-party DLLs don't interfere with Quick Assist like they do with Remote Assistance, so if you have a Microsoft account or are willing to sign in to one (it doesn't need to be a system-wide account sign-in, just solely for Quick Assist is fine), then this is an alternative.
