We are all doomed.....!!!

We are all doomed.....!!!

I'm testing a beta of a popular skinnable proggy and I've just discovered that the Weather station for Melbourne Airport [Australia] currently reads at 22.33pm Saturday 21st of June.......1100 degrees centigrade.......

It's been nice knowing you all......

China - he admits to finding the flare ( "hips" ) on the F-105's fuselage to be "very sexy", so he does indeed bear considerable watching. at least around jets.

Getting some serious heat here.....1652 degrees F.....quite toasty, really...
Hmmm...212 Degrees F...anyone for coffee?

WOW! And to think I wanted to visit Oz! But, then again, I may be able to handle that 212° heat. It was 115°, and 5 percent humidity today in sunny Arizona!

BTW, why do they call it OZ?
OZ.....because the abbreviation for Australia is AUS, which is not pronounced 'owse', but 'oz'...

AHhhhh...makes sense! Thanks so much, I have a lot of email friends in Oz, and I never thought about calling it that until I posted just now. I was hoping it wasn't an insulting term............

Keep everyone away from the water or they will learn what a Lobsters last thought is when it hits the pot!

A few years ago, it hit 122° here in Phoenix at this same time of year. It was so hot...(How hot was it?).......it was so hot, that they had to ground the planes at the Phoenix International Airport because the runways were MELTING! The planes were stuck and couldn't get up enough speed to take off! This is NO JOKE, it's true! I was watching TV and there was a breaking news story on it! I didn't know that could even happen. So, yeah, I think I have an idea what those Lobsters are thinking!

I think I remember that happening back in the mid 90's wasn't it?

back in 1996 it as pretty hot out there, I was in Tempe and also up at the Tonto National Forest Reserve, White Mountain Apache Reservation. I am not sure how hot it was up there, but I do know that I am never in my life been fall down drunk from drinking only 3 beers at the end of the day, they all got a laugh out of it too

The Elk where actually coming out of the woods and into town drinking any water they could find. Those closer out near the reservoir where walking around and through people to get to the water. It was kind of wild seeing that. Elk are HUGE!!!!!

I'm thinking maybe 92 or 93. I'm glad you were here to corroborate my story! Most of the time, no one believes me.....I mean, airplanes stuck on the tarmac? It's hard to believe...and harder to LIVE through! I only had a swamp cooler at the time............OMG! How did I make it?

Window Rock up on the Navajo reservation gets HOT! also

But Australia has really been burning up for a few years now. Part of it is from the cutting and cattle farming and such from what I remember, the local weather system got flubbed for the clear cutting for cattle ranches, and planting of crops but the soil ended up ruined so neither worked out and now the O2 released from the trees cut down and the other affects from cooler ground, soil water saturation etc has really begun to play havoc with the ecology as far as the weather goes. Then take into consideration the Amazon clear cutting following along the same lines and polutants...

Global warming, we don't need no stinking global warming, we've got a binary glitch
1200+ c sheesh, talk about broil!!!

Personally, I think that the scientists need to go back over the data they compiled leading up to, during and after the time we had the Dust Bowl here in the states...

The weather is certainly different than when I was a kid. It's been windy here since about March, and Phoenix isn't normally this breezy. I'm wondering what the monsoons will be like this year............it's flooded a couple of times in my life. Not sitting on the rooftop flooded, but up over the top of the car wheels flooded, which is enough for me, thank you very much!
