Control Panel items order is messed up

A few Start10 updates ago, the order of the items in the Start10 Control Panel got messed up, and appear to be split into two alphabetical groups (The second group restarts under the "Nvidia Control Panel" item):

Is there a way to get all the Control Panel items listed back again in alphabetical order?

Thanks,

AzJazz1

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. To get rid of it that blank icon you have to edit the registry, take ownership of the item, and then delete it.

The item is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{98F2AB62-0E29-4E4C-8EE7-B542E66740B1}

This was discussed in this thread : https://forums.stardock.com/478915

Try it and let us know.

No, I'm not concerned about the blank icon (though I will follow the instructions in that thread to get rid of it)

The issue is that above the blank icon, I see Control Panel items in alphabetical order from A => N.

After the blank icon, the Control Panel items restart back at the letter D, and then go through the rest of the items alphabetized D => Z.

Update (about a minute later): After I deleted the blank icon by following the instructions in your recommended thread (here), the blank icon had disappeared AND the sort order of the Control Panel items was also fixed. Thanks!
