3 Issues Involving Log-ins or Accounts with Stardock Object Desktop Software

2 of these are already reported, but still ongoing:

Windows Blinds bogus update notification - See here: https://forums.stardock.com/492939/page/1/#3738322

Groupy always shows version 1.18 is available for download within OD - See here: https://forums.stardock.com/492557/page/2/#3737010

Plus, Deskscapes, for some reason, pops up a window that says my license has been deactivated. I enter my credentials and it is fine for a week or so, then I get the same message again. Over & over.

Running Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit. All Stardock software is updated to current. I have already used the "purge" solution.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Plus, Deskscapes, for some reason, pops up a window that says my license has been deactivated. I enter my credentials and it is fine for a week or so, then I get the same message again. Over & over.

Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. A "Run" dialog box will pop up, please paste the path below into the "Open" field and press OK.

%ProgramData%\Stardock\

In the folder that pops up, you should see a folder named DeskScapes. Please delete this folder and all of its contents.

After you have deleted that folder, please attempt to activate once again and it should succeed without any errors.

Do not use ODM, please use one of the below to update WB (any product):

OK, thanks. I did that. I'll find out in several days if it worked or not.

All this stuff is still happening. What is the purpose of Object Desktop Manager if the downloads it offers are unreliable? I give up.

After what I had you do, the deletion of the ProgramData folder for any app that is prompting for activation (any that are), are you still seing that issue or is it just issues with ODM?

Seems to have worked -- Groupy1.18 has disappeared from ODM and, so far, no Windows Blinds notifications in the middle of the night. It's been awhile since Deskscape has aske me to provide my activation credentials. Looking good for that, too. Thanks.
