Themes missing Quick Access panels in File Explorer and Notes?

Hey everyone,

For some reason certain themes in WindowBlinds aren't covering all the parts of Windows Explorer- the Quick Access and Notes segments in particular. When I first installed it was fine and looked great. I think maybe a Windows update and a graphics card update were done around the same time as this happening, but the odd part is that other themes work fine.

I've tried uninstalling and purging WindowBlinds using Stardock's tool, restarting, and even re-downloading and installing the themes that aren't working correctly, and nothing seems to help.

Also, the Psynaptix theme (my favorite theme) seems to crash File Explorer half the time when I click on a folder. This can be partially fixed by right clicking the folder, hitting Properties, Customize, and setting "Optimize this folder for:" to "General Items". Unfortunately I'd have to do it to every folder, and it still hasn't fixed the issue completely.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The problem is, the same as he had, my Explorer is now while at the one side, and dark at the other, it started when i updated today to the newest version of WB.

I found this forum post:

https://forums.wincustomize.com/492771/page/2/#replies he ends with:
Problem fixed with the release of Windowblinds 10.8, thanks Stardock!

But my problem is, the problem that he had for over 4 month, started for me today when i updated to the one that fixed his problem, so im just WTF? I had 0 Problem until i updated to "WindowBlinds 10.8 (055 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS", then i update and my problems start where he's got solved, so what did they fix for him, but broke for me?

I just tried to uninstall WB, and clear out all the settings, and then reinstall, but i already did a update, but didn't clear out all the files, so will try that now.

Ok, i just uninstalled, restarted the computer, downloaded WB again, installed it, restarted the computer again.
Had Win 10 dark theme enabled, i then copied the theme over to the WindowBlinds folder, and enabled it, the sec it was loaded i had the White on the left again.

I have looked in SkinStudio but can't see what the problem should be, but will test the skin i found that actually keep the dark in the left side as in the right, will try to see if i change some thing if i can get it to go white. hmm.

Will return if i find a solution, so other may know.

I think you just need to ask the theme author to update his theme.

Thank you,

I did, since i did the theme :D

But i found the "problem" it looks like that the parameter "ExplorerFolderBarBackground" in the file .uis is not set, i think that is a new parameter made by you guys to fix the problems that the forum author i linked to had, and some other, i think that both Explorer Background (win 10) and Explorer Folder Bar Background (Win10), was the same before (merged). But are now seperated parametres.

If any one else got theis problem, open up the SkinStudio > Change skin colours > (Popdown Menu pick) Show me the skin defined system colours
There find the "Explorer folder bar background (Win 10)" change the color done.

Or if you have an old theme, and do not have the SkinStudio open the file ending with .uis in the folder "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\SKINNAMEYOUUSE" and search for [Colours] and add the 2 parametres

ExplorerBackground=27 27 27
ExplorerFolderBarBackground=27 27 27

The =27 27 27 is the color value, change that if needed.
