WinStyles just quits

from WinCustomize Forums
Everytime I select ANY application or theme within WinStyles, the program just quits. This occurs if I use the display properties dialog or the WinStyles program. Stardock told me this would be fixed in the next release. I went ahead and installed the latest Beta release (1.49) hoping to fix the problem...no luck.

Does anyone else see this symptom and is there a workaround? If Stardock is reading this, in which release will this problem be fixed?

This is really frustrating.

Werewolf didn't know the answer. But by responding to the thread it appeared at the top of the list again in the hope someone might see it and anwer your question. We call that "bumping".

Here is some more information on this bug. I tried WinStyles (complete with WindowBlinds, WebBlinds, ObjectBar, and IconPackager) on a Windows 2000 computer. I now get the following error message before WinStyles just quits:

The exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0x77fc8ca5.

This is also WinStyles version 1.49.

I find it hard to believe that I am the only one experiencing this problem with WinStyles. Won't someone out there confirm my sanity and tell me they have seen this behaviour?
