Monitor Distorted on Primary When KVM to Secondary

Hello All,

I am trying to understand what the software KVM uses for the video. I suspect one of my laptops to have a faulty component already. Sometimes the monitor shows yellow instead of normal colors etc. I have swapped the actual LCD screen for testing so I know that it's either the cable or the GPU/Board.

In any case, if the primary computer was KVM to the computer and the color showed like weird boxes in the image and wasn't responding to input etc, what would be pointing to? GPU on secondary?

Edit: I have attached imgur of issue in question. Only happens when KVM to laptop. Presuming due to faulty video issues with laptop but unsure.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

End of quote

This part:

'and wasn't responding to input'

Is likely a firewall issue, not a rendering one. Please see:

As for the video, we have not seen anything like that before.  If you have immediate plans to replace the GPU (it sounded like you may), I would be interested in those results.  It may also be prudent to run a DXDiag on the laptop to see if any errors are found.
