WindowBlinds 3.50a may have "expired" (workaround: turn clock back)

This is an advance warning - if anyone here is using WB 3.5a and has sudden problems, you may be experiencing an unforseen expiry condition in this build of WB. Stardock personnel aren't around right now, but when they are, they'll fix it. If you're experiencing problems (eg unskinned windows, rundll warnings), don't panic!

For now just sit tight and maybe unload WB. You can also try turning the clock back, early indications show that this "fixes" it.

/me curses the time difference I finish work in a hour and a half. I've had to put up with classic Win2K all day...its horrible - the hardship I've endured through out the day. Things like this scar you for life.

Melodramatic?

Me?

Never

I see in OD that there is a new 3.51 build - is that what I want? I thought I was using 3.51a before. I'm going to try it anyway, so I'll let you know if it fixes the expiration date thing.

Also - am I the only person for whom Stardock Central is NOT going to be an option? Sometimes the silent majority is a little too quiet.

Einstein : The 'problem' is that CM will not work anymore sometime in the future... No prob for me, I like SDC. And You sure were using 3.50a

I believe I've got all the enhanced, ODNT, and Stardock Central installers properly updated now. Use the form at https://www.stardock.com/support to get the enhanced links and serials or your CM/SDC as appropriate.

Customers who's ODNT subscriptions have expired, please contact sales@stardock.com with your serial. They have a link that you can use with the CM to get 3.51.

Any other specific questions on this, email kwilas@stardock.com rather than support. They have enough with the people who aren't reading here for info on this matter.

Well, they sure made us jump through a lot of hoops just to get this mistake solved! > Finally got everything, I think. Time will tell...

WHAT HOOPS? Don't go and throw a statement out like that without evidence. It's just like updating for any other WB build.

I just gave in over the weekend and upgraded to 4.0. I'd been wanting to try it, but I was worried about "buginess". But I gave in. So far it's running smooth as silk. But I don't see a lot of difference in the looks of things between 3.5 and 4.0. Must be something new under the hood.............
