Fences folder list - problem with Win10 Creators Update

Hello,

I have installed the newest update of Windows 10 - Creators Update - today and saw, that in a folder portal on my desktop all the entries will be shown as medium icons. Even if I change it to a short list as before, on a restart of my laptop the folder portal sjows the icons. It seems, that my changes will not be saved permanently.

Is this issue already known?

BR,

Andreas

Thanks. It's a known issue and we are looking to have a beta update in the next week or so.

I'm experiencing the issue as well and am looking forward to a fix.  Where would we monitor to see a beta update is available?  What resources can I review to get access to beta updates?

You would need to keep an eye on this forum.

If you are using Object Desktop Manager and have enabled betas they would show up there too.

I'm having a similar problem. After updating to the Win10 Creators Update, the "Show Extra Large Icons" option is gone, and the file and folder icons in the folder portals don't align correctly to the grid. They're overlapping, with the file names being covered. Photo and video thumbnails have no spacing, and if there's a sub-folder, they display in random sizes (some covering most of the fence).

My desktop is a total mess now X(   Looking forward for that beta. I have three licenses for 2.0 ( probably because of the multiple installs I did on the same PC - I often refresh the system - the first accounts told me about some limit in licensing so I had to purchase multiple ones ) and today I noticed the problem, so I installed 3.0, looking for an upgrade. As I have found out, 3.0.3 does not solve the issue either.

Quick solution. Roll back to a previous windows version and learn to use the Defer option for future major windows updates. I had enough bad updates over the years, I wonder why I keep doing the same mistake.

I know mate, but that's all I could come with, my desktop would have been a total mess. I am back to windows 10 before the latest update and things are perfect.

Same problem

When setting a folder fence to view -> list, after reboot the view will be reset to medium icons.
This happens on two existing folders, the problem persists even after recreating the folders.

Navigation on/off does not fix the problem.

Mine is doing the same...    changes my folders to medium from list w/o my input on portals..

I have 10+ licenses all running on Windows 10 professional.. only 2 of them do it so far but it is very annoying.

I am running Fences 3.0.5.12

Please address this issue

Ditto. No List or Details view for desktop fences, but they are present for folder portals. Did the full purge and reinstall, no change.

Hello,

That is because if you right click on actual desktop there is no view->detail view. But if right click on folder portal ie link to any windows explorer folder there is. This is just how Windows is. That is just how the normal fence different than portal fence is.
