Fences taking a VERY long time to startup upon boot

Fences is taking an extremely long time to startup when the computer first boots for me. I am running Windows 8.1 N (x64) using a mechanical 7200 RPM hard drive as a boot drive - not as fast as an SSD but never takes longer than around ~35-40 seconds to load all the programs and services prior to installing fences. Now even after about 10 minutes after the computer has started fences still has not loaded.

I've already tried setting the start up delay in regedit but to no avail.

The following tool will purge the application (your settings an layout will be preserved).

**IMPORTANT** Please save any open documents/work and close out all of your applications including browsers. Your PC may restart after running this .bat file.

Please follow this link:

http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/apps/Purge_Fences.bat

Save the file to your desktop, right click it and select "Run as Administrator" if you're on Vista/7/8/8.1/10

http://screencast.com/t/Zv5LzdG8W8

Just run it if you're on XP as the Administrator option is not available for that OS.

If you are running Windows 8/10, you may be notified that Windows is protecting your PC. Select "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Reboot the computer and reinstall the application. Note: It is important to get the most recent version of the application.

For getting your product and key, please see the following:

https://www.stardock.com/support/productkeyretrieval

Please DO NOT change any of the default settings until you verify that the application is running as expected in its default state.

If Fences is as it should be, please try restoring a previous snapshot to see if that helps the situation any.

To restore Fences to a previous snapshot:

-Right click on the desktop and select "Configure Fences..."
-Click on "Layout and snapping" on the left hand side of the configuration window that appears.
-Select a snapshot you wish to revert to. A preview window will appear showing you what the desktop will look like.
-Click Restore Snapshot to revert the desktop to this preview.

Same issue here, and the bat remove and reinstall does not fix the issue.  PLease provide a update.

Doesn't appear any of you know what version you are using. If it's the latest version what version is that?

Providing that information may get some answers for you.

There is likely something conflicting with Fences.  It's best if you start a case with the support team so they can see what is going on.

I have, they have stated is run the utility to remove and reinstall...  Its buuuuuggggy.  Takes forever to load, and crashes explorer periodically.

I have concluded, fences for some reason doesn't display quickly UNLESS I right click with my mouse!  At boot, if I right click the fences appear.  If I do not it takes forever.

What would cause this?  I'm using Logitech setpoint 6.67 with a g3 laser mouse.  Please advise.

The mouse won't be the issue.  What's more likely is a process is running [unseen] and stealing focus from the drawing of the desktop.
