Welcome to the world of RNG... where the derivative results/categorization of random numbers aren't going to always appear "random".

But seriously, the law of probability dictates that unusual things can occur on rare occasions, but not as a repeatable pattern of 'behavior' - that is not random, that is not RNG, something else is happening?

Something that is 'cyclical'

RNG being modified within a cyclical pattern, that is what i am seeing in this game.

After 20 turns your chances of getting a colony ship cycles to 90% for the next 3 defended anomalies.

for the next 10 diamond anomalis, your chances of a tech cycles to 90%

Etc etc

Amazing.... i never saw any.... lets call it 'result cycles' for anomalies in Galciv2, but i am definitely seeing it in galciv3, definitely, as clear as day.

The short cycle for diamond anomalies is good i think, because especially in multiplayer it will stop any one player being too unlucky on the free techs.

But the exceedingly long cycle for colony/constructor/survey ships is way too long, needs to be shortened down a bit otherwise you can go far to long without getting any while some other player gets 3 or 4!...... unless the same cycle applies to all players at the same time? then its fine!

Not really pure speculation, because you cannot hide from statistics.

A normal person can perceive statistical patterns, but that perception 'can' be speculation. However, you could easily track what it is doing and write it down and study it mathematically, and i am certain that would verify these cycles exist...... if you could be bothered doing that, but not me! So i guess we are indeed back to speculation but not 'pure' speculation

Statistics...? You're confusing a representative sampling of the population (e.g. games played by everyone) with however many games you've played by wrongfully assuming everyone experiences what you experience, and attempting to justify the proposed existence of an underlying pattern/mechanism based solely on what you are experiencing.

In addition to statistics, also there is the term 'logic', perhaps you have heard of it, but failed to apply it, since if i have 'assumed' what everyone else has experienced, why would i need to ask this question? "anyone noticed the strange random chance patterns with Anomalies?"
