Noob question about editing the Lantana theme

I love the Lantana theme on Windows 7, but it does something screwy to the font on my clock/calendar and start menu (using Classic Shell). It's using some sort of shadow on the font, and it's very difficult to read on my start menu. I'm guessing there's a way to alter this font using SkinStudio, but I can't figure out how to do it...can someone point me in the right direction? Changing the color from black to something lighter would work nicely.

try changing the menu text, menu and menu bar colors in the skin defined system colors. may or may not help but....

If what gmc2 said doesn't work try this.

Open SKS. Edit Controls>Edit menus and menubars>popup menus/menu item. Go to the bottom click on the Extra Settings tab. Click on "Disable 3D effect on disabled menus"Make sure you enable this by putting a check mark in the box. apply and save.

I seem to recall this was a bug in classic shell itself.

Thanks for all the replies, people. It's given me some leads...even if the main one seems to be, don't use Classic Shell.
