How to change font color used on taskbar buttons and system tray's clock and date?

Windows 8.1, Windowsblinds 8 trial. Skin is "Default Theme by Microsoft" and the substyle is the theme that I saved using Windows itself. When I click "Apply Style" all that happens is that Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization opens up. The only buttons on the right side of the Windowsblinds window are Style and Background. No Color button and no Texture button. But even if I choose a different skin that displays the Color button, I don't see how to change the font color used on taskbar buttons and system tray's clock and date.

Thanks for any help.

The colors have to be changed using Skinstudio.

Perhaps

Skinstudio > Start menu and taskbar > horizontal taskbars > clock text. ??

Use skinstudio for that. you get it normally with windowblinds.

Not sure you get it with the Trial version.

Indeed, SkinStudio doesn't come with the WindowsBlinds trial, so I sprung for the paid license. Now I need to figure out how to use "Microsoft Default" as the base to be edited with SkinStudio. Thanks for your help, everyone.

You won't be able to edit the Microsoft default WB in SKS.

Ok, thanks. Just out of curiosity, what's different about that skin, that causes that effect?

Is there a way to tell SkinStudio "let's start with the way things are set up on my system right now" or do I have to start either 1) from an existing skin (besides MS Default) or 2) from scratch?

Not sure I understand. If you open WB you can just double click any skin you want. There are many more skins here.

If you aren't a member I believe you can only download a few per day. If you were to pay for Object Desktop downloads are unlimited.

As far as your question about SKS (skinstudio) If you start with a new skin it will open the Diamond skin which you can use as a template. you can make you own images and also rename it. If you click on "open Skin"

If you click on "Open Skin" A menu will open with the skins you have installed. Double click one to make changes or adjustments. Remember any changes you make to another persons skin can be used by you only. You aren't permitted to give it out for any reason. It's for your personal use only.
