The solution to engineer idea

Its very simple pass medic to engenier,  wy because they have a light .

Im sure you all have think the light medic where you could put it on engineer but lets push it again.

1 the size of enginieer its big ..i mean really big ,imagine the medic has a engenieer have the correct size and distinction to long-range ,im sure ashes is think on this but keeping engineer obvius like we all want :)

So what is the real step to engineer in future i like see a unike laser when build also a special hability using quantas like a powerfull unit on late game and a preety light above, i think right now dont feet very well with rest units, hard to see and we/you can make it bether he just cant be bigger then a t2 unit ,its just a engineer for now but we can use it in fights with something real powerfull .

Imagine medics has engineer very easy to see them with light.

Engineers cant be so hight.

I am not sure what the problem is that you are trying to solve.

The engineer likely needs to be tall, and it makes perfect sense for it to be a tier 2 unit. It has to fabricate extremely large buildings in a very short space in time. If it was short and pudgy then it wouldn't be able to see the top of the buildings and might miss a few spots with the paint job. Then the engineer would have to answer to its supervisor, lose its job, and would not be able to help support its family.

The medic however, does not need to carry around the blueprints, permits, site inspection reports, licenses, excavation equipment and massive tanks of plasma, so it can be small and nippy. Ambulances are required in many territories to operate emergency lights while on duty, but perhaps it would also make sense to put a flashing orange light on the engineer and decrease unit movement speed near construction zones so that we can keep OSH happy.

The engineers role is simple: Build.

Whether this is factories to train units, assist factories to build units, or expand the base economy and defenses, they should always be kept busy building.

There will likely be a lot of changes to aesthetics as things progress. The game is still in early development, only one of the playable factions is available. This particular faction has found that spraying controlled bursts of plasma into a contained structural electromagnetic field where it cools and solidifies is an efficient enough method for fabrication without the need to use expensive and inefficient lasers. Perhaps the other factions will have developed technology for construction that is different, which we might get to see in the future as they are released.

I am sure if they figured out how to magically levitate all of the vehicles, they certainly would have not forgotten how to use gyro stabilizers.

I don't agreed with you at all .

With your thought engineers then must be tall then Drags makes no sence.

Just because a buid is large that dont means engineer also needs have equal size !

You must think on field with 1k units where you have some engs inside,  you must and showld easy know where they are by a bright light, but also its no need be the biggest unit just because you have experimental buids. Its just a ex the medic because you  can easy see on a large group  by the lights where they are.

Think simple we showldnt complicate whats easy.

Big engineers do have a real world precedent. You can get truly massive cranes and construction trucks which dwarf military vehicles. I think lighting the engineer in a similar fashion to the repair unit would work but the larger engineer does work too, even if you have to accept it is just massive :)

If you are having difficulty finding your engineers, they are marked on the mini-map with a circle, their very distinct shape allows them to be easily identified, and you can press F1 to find the ones which are getting lazy.
