Alt-Tab Out of Game Makes Crazy Lines, Etc.

If I Alt-Tab out of the game (hate full-screen with two monitors, but trying to retain settings for benchmark consistency), when I come back the game looks like this:

How can I turn this off once it's on and how is Alt-Tab turning it on to begin with?

alt. 

it's the wrong key to set to toggle range visibility. because IT's GODDAMN SYSTEM-RESERVED. or it should be hold-down not toggle.

also this game does not catter to people with multiple screens.

Usually in windowed mode you can bring anything back up from underneath the new app. 

but if say chrome is set to run on monitor 1 and so is AOTS and you don't have an instance of chrome running on monitor 2 there is no way for you to browse chrome for the durration of the launching sequence which can sometimes be very long. 

It's difficult for me to think of a game that does something similar out of my 120+ games library.

 

Please do not lock up our screens.
