Wizops and Admins

I've been reading all over the place that there are quite a few things that needs to be redone, especially terms of use, rules, and many other things. So here I'm starting one thread to let the admins tell me what needs to be written up in text format (.txt ) so that we can have a set of rules and things to hold our members and users responsible for. If they break it, we at least have it somewhere visible for them to see it, and we can take action. If we don't, we can't go after people for any wrong they have done.... your thoughts?

Well, even if you took the time to write those things, Pat (T-Man) wouldn't have any time to put it in place.

But you don't understand. I need time to actually write them up!!! I'm in college, so even though I have lots of time, that doesn't mean classes don't like using them

I read them...

"A few examples of what will never get through moderation:
- Britney Spears or other celebrity wallpapers (see note about copyright above)
- Bryce art, unless the result is so astonishing that one could never tell it was done in Bryce.
- Dolphins, palm trees, metal spheres or other over-used elements
- XP-related walls, unless really innovative/original.
- Copyrighted photos/images
- Confused composition...eg...3D artwork with conflicting light-sources belying the form.
- A ground-swell of negativity from a significant number of admins."

Yeah, because this kind of art work NEVER makes it into the wallpaper section.

Thanks for your help Elfie, if you feel like editing or adding to the existing guidelines and rules it can only improve things. I think a very succinct terms of use statement that could be at the footer of every skins list page would be helpful. Overall I think the rules and guidelines are pretty good already, we don't want to be too formal, after all this site is all about having fun.

Don't spend too much time on it, your education comes first...

I'll see about pumping out a short and simple set of rules and regulations... just basics, nothing formal... I think you find them at any decent msgboard community

I just want to give the admins someplace to point to when people are screwing around. Once we have something to hold them accountable for, the admins have every power and space to deal with nuisances... if people don't know our admins, at least they know our rules
