Start 10 won't install

Can't install

Getting a sharing violation -

I have the same problem
Have raised a ticket and an email days ago

Have not had any answer as yet.

I cannot update one machine because I get the same error as you

I uninstalled Start 10 of my laptop thinking a reinstall would help
No, just cannot install it now
All happened when I tried to install 10.01

Cannot now reinstall the first version either now :(

Hope you have better luck from support than me

I will wait for the solution, if one comes

What antivirus package are you using as it sounds like the AV package may be scanning the file and locking it in error during real time scanning which prevents the installer from being able to do its job.

AV is actually the issue.

Before I saw The_Gear's response I had fixed it.

However

The_Gear is totally correct, at least with my problem

The AV package is scanning the file and locking it

I have Panda 2016 and turned off AV.

Then was able to Install on my main machine & Reinstall on my laptop

Then turned AV back on and did a scan just in case :)

Might be a good idea to do a sticky that has this type of advice for the users to go to in the first instance.
