Wow!! I didn't know this place existed.

New here, would never have found it if my New white WinCustomize didn't hurt my eyes. I kept looking to the sides to see if there was a place to protest, found it on top. Now I have a metal skin, how cool is that! Would never have known of that option either, if someelse didn't post the link. Thanks! I have been wanting to tell the skinners, how great their work is, this is the best site. Now I love it even more.

I saw window blinds at LightStar's site first, after reading everything about Theme XP and WindowBlinds I could find, your article about mangling XP, did it for me. Your site and skinners are great, I can't stay away. LightStar is the very best at ThemeXP, I wish you could get her over here. Green Reaper has been helping me quite a bit. I am self taught, and have messed up my computer more than once, but I am learning. All of these questions here, are things that I have been wanting to ask all along. I have a lot of reading to do, what a find! I want to say everything on my Computer is skinned and it is Beautiful. Windows XP Home. WindowBlinds 3.5. Thanks for the great help and the wonderful talent you have here. I will always be a supporter.

ahhh... another person is 'hooked' on Windowblinds. I got hooked when I saw a screenshot in anewsgroup about cable modems almost 4 years ago. I was so blown away I did a search until I found WB and the skin I had seen. Within a couple months I had to try making my own skins. I've been addicted ever since. I can't imagine having a computer without Windowblinds on it.

Darco... thanks for your enthusiasm, it's refreshing and I'm sure you'll be just as enthusiastic about it years from now just as my own enthusiasm has never diminished.

Hell, this calls for a thread titled 'How did u get to know about wincustomize?'

/me raises the glass for a toast and gulps down the contents. Tastes like coffee, maybe it is....

Several years ago, I remember seeing various cool looking Linux desktop skins and felt envious, wishing there was something like that for Windows

So on a lark I did a net search and discovered WindowBlinds, which was exactly what I was looking for. (I think this was back in WB .97 or .47 or some such version).

This led me to the old skinz.org site where I just lurked, then when that site went down, made the leap here

It must have been several years ago, perhaps before I was born. I remember my grandparents telling me about the good old days when computers were few and far in between and people used software called windows 3.1, windows 95 etc on piesces of hardware (hard disk of 2.1 GB capacity).

Drats, that was yesterday, it all seems so distant now...
hehe

No kidding Guys and Girls, the talent here is awesome. Not only the artistic side, but knowing how to put it together, coding and whatever. I'm still trying to learn how to do things on this computer. I was thrilled when I found you could turn Windows XP, from blue to silver, so this is a gigantic leap for me.
