Doesn't install after an uninstall

 

Hi,

 

I installed the Trial version of WindowsBlinds8 today.  After trying the software decided that it was not for me.

Uninstalled

But I left some options of the system changed, so

I decided to install again to change those options, to uninstall again.

Installer keeps saying "Please reboot to complete the WindowsBlind unistall before proceeding with the new installation. The install will now exit"

You can't install the trial after the trial period. Hence the word, trial.

 

I'd contact support at the link below if I were you. Maybe they can help.

 

If you do, do not contact them a second time until you get an email back from them, other than the auto response email. If you do, you'll be moved to the end of the queue.

Find and delete manually folder WindowBlinds.

(The same problem with Start10. After uninstal "Please reboot to complete...." when try install again)

Similar problem except I am trying to re-install the older version that I have a license to.  Pops up the exact same message incessantly.  Deleting a directory is NOT the correct answer to solve this.  Fix the un-installer / installer.

look in the program files windowbilnds directory for a file named similar to the pop-up message "reboot_required.txt" or something like that.  DELETE that file.

Now you can re-install.   You may need to use the activate with account (my enter-the-code did not work)

just tried it on Win 8.1 - it worked for me.
