Bad Ads on WC

Is it just me, or are other people getitng ads from WC that are not nice...

I get one every once in a while that opens a full-screen page and asks to install some plugin... of course, saying no closes it, but it's really quite annoying....

I think it might be wincustomize because I don't have any other windows open (well... winamps running... but it always is) and This happens on my work computer too when I browse WC...

anyone s=else have this happen (it's not very frequent)?

There is a rash of extremely real looking emails going around right now trying to get your critical personal information from you, they look like they are real but if you respond to them you WILL get burned...
It's almost an epidemic, I was reading about it at PCWorld.com...

you very well might have had something load itself into your registry so that when you connect to the web it pops up a window now and then, or a cookie, try clearing your cached files in your browser and see if that fixes it...

Wincustomize hasn't any plugins to make use of the site....

so it isn't originating here I would be willing to bet....

I have heard other people complaining about the same thing, I personally have not because my firewall blocks all such effluvia...

well there is a random popup, test going on for now, but it doesn't popup anything about drivers that I know of, it is specifically SD apps, well only one I've heard of so far really.. But now drivers....
