Zappa, Broken Hearts are for assholes

Okay, so I'm a bit of a fan of yours...I like to follow you...but this one song you mentioned upset me only after I looked it up online and found the lyrics to it at;
http://www.lyrics.ly/lyrics.php/Zappa+Frank/Sheik+Yerbouti/Broken+Hearts+Are+For+Assholes

Frankly, I was horrified!

Even as a laugh, I find that in rather poor taste. Please tell me you don't think of women in that sense? :sniff!

Frogboy went and made me have to go put the Delicate Sound of Thunder set, The Wall and Animals in the multi-disc

good background for being creative

Old Crab, I might have those... have to check, they are re-prints from the Hobby-and-Habits headshop that used to be open here in the 80's...

but if I do, have to see about mailing em to you, I don't have enough to collect and not enough ambition to do ebay (even if they are worth anything) or any of the swpa meets..

Sweet dreams and don't let the terrorists bite.

tonight I went out and bought .03 - .09 KOH-I-NOOR Rapidomatic pencils, and Pentel Drafting pens and Sketch Pens, paper, etc, dug out my squares and angles and curves

A bit of historical correction here...

It was R.Crumb who did Mr. Natural, Flakey Foont, Mr.Whiteman, Despair Comics etc for Zap Comics. I don't think he was ever refferred to as "Robert" in any of his work.

Gilbert Shelton did The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers which is where Fat Freddie's Cat came from.

Victor Moscosco was the surrealist who did the Peanut Man and all those spacey desert landscapes (plus the legendary panels on the L-Taraval streetcar.

Rick Griffin did the famous 2-sidded '69 issue cover with the charging eyeball weilding a sword (R.Crumb did the other side's cover), plus, Ruby The Dyke, The Checkered Demon, and many others. He started out as a cartoonist for Surfer Magazine with a strip called "Murph the Surph". He went from there to doing political cartoons and then the Zap comics.

It was an amazing time.

and Frank Zappa (in spite of occaisionaly lapsing into shockingly crude parody) is one of the greatest musical geniuses in American history.

just wanted to get the facts straight...
