Windowblinds gamma adjustment?

Is there any way I can adjust the windowblinds gamma so that the skin looks the same on my system as it did on the author's?

Even if there's no practical way to do it, is there a way to do it in theory?

On the appearance tab... just click on the colorbox (next to the sub design drop down menu)then select Gamma... there is a slider to adjust it.

Yes, kith, that is how to make the gamma adjustment. But how do I know when it looks the same on my computer as it did on the author's computer?

You might be able to match your screen with the preview of the Windowblinds on Wincusto

I think it would be safe to assume that most skinners do not use any gamma adjustment while they are actually making a skin. If they were to do that, why not just make the colors lighter/darker?

It may be safe to assume that the skinner didn't use any gamma adjustment, but everyone's brightness setting is different, and their monitors are different. That's why Photoshop includes tools for setting the gamma correctly. Even if you set your gamma, it needs to be different for print and for the web.
If someone works on a MacIntosh, their gamma will be quite different from a PC.
Anyway, it's something for an artist to think about. There's apparently no way for someone else to know what the artwork looked like to the artist.
It seems like there should be a way, but I don't know what it is.

pix, exactly so, settings, hardware, refresh rate, all kinds of factors you'd have to match....

tweak it until you like it and leave it there
