Planets not rendering

Hey, recently started playing for the first time and noticed all my planets were just represented by plain circles rather than rendered planets. Everything works fine but just wondering if anyone knows if I've just got a setting wrong or there's an easy fix? (can't really be bothered reinstalling for this minor issue). Here's a pic of what it looks like:

Cheers!

Is this still happening?

Thanks!

Yeah, I haven't tried anything to fix it mind haha. Last played 3 days ago and started a new galaxy but still had the same issue.

I just had this happen when I reached about turn 130 after I had done a save, OS shutdown (for the night), reboot (next morning), and reload of the saved game, with about twenty planets in the list. Planets I colonized after the restart showed correctly.

I have this problem on every game right from the start.

I also don't get ship icons rendered for ships that i create. System-default ship icons do render.

I'm thinking this a file permissions issue.

I know what this is it happened to me on an older computer with shattered suns with a older computer. When I went from a geforce 4 400 mhrts to a geforce 6800 it fixed the problem with shattered suns. You need a better graphics card. I also didn't. Worry since all this did is mess up the appearance, and nonthing else.

This problem is intermittent on my PC. It went away as soon as I reloaded from a saved game file and has not returned for a couple of days. It does not act the same as a similar problem that I reported during early in the Beta cycle that Stardock fixed.

I'm sure you're right about the graphics card, but it does affect game play because i can't see what ships are in my fleets without clicking on each "empty" space.  I also can't see which ships are which when making fleets or on combat displays.

Can you all run the following tool and send the results to support@stardock.com?  Make sure to reference this post (https://forums.stardock.com/467645)

Thanks!

No one has listed his/her graphics card and driver version, so I don't see where anyone can come to the conclusion that the card or driver is at fault. What I am saying here is that no attempts have been made to do any correlation between failure and the hardware for the PCs that experience the failure.

Mine is: Geforce GT 640 with driver version 352.86 (as per "GeForce Experience").

If it helps any, I have noticed that sometimes it will take a few seconds to render a new planet in the planet list.
