I just bought the 2003 Norton System Works CD and installed onto my computer. When I try to do a full scan of my computer, it says "Norton AntiVirus was unable to scan your computer for infections because some Norton AntiVirus components are missing." I then ran LiveUpdate which didnt fix the problem.

The next thing I tryed is reading and following the steps to make all the necessary .exe files non-compatable. That still didnt fix the problem. Can anybody help me?

I always copy the whole content of Norton/Symantec progs to my harddisk and install from there. The CD install is often a real pain with Symantec products (certain files not found, missing components, incomplete setup...) If want You uninstall Systemworks after such catastrophic setup, it's best to uninstall the components one by one and not all at once.
