Some help with a skin bug? I'm stuck.

I have been getting butt-deep in my one and only Windowblinds skin, trying to work out all the bugs, and optimize graphics, etc. I still have this one horrible-looking bug that is driving me nuts...

Text inside tabs refuses to paint inside the tab...I took a screenshot and illustrated it here: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/starkdesktabprob.png

If you would like to help me out, I would be eternally grateful! You can get my latest version of the skin here: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/starkdeskblue.zip.

TIA!

You might change the font size or change (the font it self) for the tabs ,some fonts are real big.Hope that might help.

Big? That's weird, they look small on my display. I'll go through it and see if it helps. Thanks!

you need to adjust the "Content Margins" for your tabs images, try setting them at about 4 for both left and right. Should do it. let me know if you struggle, and I'll struggle along with you!

Well, I tried a crapload of stuff, and nothing changed. I re-uploaded another version, so if someone could take a peek under the hood, I would really appreciate it. I'm completely lost.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that isn't the tabs you're having trouble with, that is the Groupbox.
I've downloaded and applied your skin, and the only place I can find the problem is in the Display Properties..........looks fine everywhere I've checked.

I down loaded your skin the problem is with groupboxedge BMP .You might have to repaint it ,I'm not shure .But that is where the problem is.Looks like its not being applided the way you want it to on the propertyies window.Let me Know how its going.

iben, you're a lifesaver! I started nisong around the groupbox frame and header, and I figured it out. I had the text centering, but not the background itself! I'm going to download your skin right now and test it out.

Thanks for everyone's help!

OK, I installed Hidden Gems, Iben, and it's working great. I just have a couple of minor points:

1. The color of the text is hard to read on many of the backgrounds...it looks like Colour 0 is just too dark.

2. If you can nudge the text located in the group box header over to the right by 3 or 4 pixels, it would stand out a touch more...right now it's butted up against the edge of the box.

3. The text in the pulldown menus is hard as heck to read.

Other than that, it's good...no other bugs I found.
