Weather docklet - Internet Not Available

Since the internet is working just fine, and I've made no updates to ObjectDock in quite a while, any ideas why this stopped working today (January 27, 2015)?

It can't be because of the "historic" northeast US blizzard that didn't happen, could it?

Is the AccuWeather feed history, like changed and not able to be accessed via ObjectDock's hard coded URL in the Weather docklet?

The request being sent is:

http://weather29.sdcentral.net/weather2.asmx/weather_data_v2b_fallback?location=32259&metric=0&partner=ObjectDockPlus%20v2.00%20743&nocache=14773375

The reply is:

HTTP/1.1 302 Redirect

to the following URL:

https://www.stardock.accuweather.com/widget/stardock/weather_data_v2b.asp?location=32259&metric=0&partner=ObjectDockPlus%20v2.00%20743&nocache=14773375/weather_data_v2b_fallback

Which fails!

Please advise.

XiKano, do the icons appear in the weather docklet icon folder? C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\Weather\icons

Did you try removing the weather docklet and then re-adding it back to the dock?

thx for reply - I do not have the folder 'icons' in the 'Weather' directory, only one file labeled 'WeatherDocklet.dll' is in there. Also, fwiw, the folder you show in the path as 'ObjectDock' is named 'ObjectDockFree' on my system. Finally I will state that this has been working great for some years now.

all ok here.  But I reinstalled OD.  May have to do that and put the new ocx file from from one of the previous posts in the install folder like I did.

you have the free version of objectdock, but it should work the same. you should have an icons folder in the weather docklet directory. somehow, it must've gotten deleted. you need to reinstall your version of objectdock. that should fix it.

Mine just started working by itself without me doing anything, about 2 hours ago. I have the Plus version.

Ditto.

It had been non-functional for around 24 hours or so.

Nothing was/is needed to be done user-wise for it to restart correctly...;)
