What Games are You Looking Forward to in 2015?

I really haven't checked on all the releases that are scheduled for 2015, but there's a few that I can definitely say I'm exciting about.

Of course I'm excited for Sorcerer King and Galactic Civilizations coming this year, but we should talk about other games too.  Right?

Some other ones I'm looking forward to:

  • Star Wars: Battlefront
  • The Division

So what are the games of 2015 that you are waiting for?

I pay about $40AUD for about 100 GB a month, though there is a 250GB plan for the same price (I don't need it as I normally don't do very heavy downloading).  Though there is an unlimited one for $50AUD a month.

I checked...to be accurate it's $69.95 a month for 50gig ... still a lot more than most...;)

Thanks, Abbot, you one-term failure, you....;p

Um....I AM in an Australian city .... the second biggest...and can WALK to the CBD [city center] in about 30 minutes...

Not talking about the Outback...where you can be 500 miles from the nearest traffic light...

But if you're in a city I don't think the argument about population density makes much sense. I mean yeah, Sweden is relatively small but capita per square km would still be a thousand times higher in an australian city.

You don't understand the logistics of distance.  High density populations have a high 'contribution' rate for infrastructure per KM or per square KM.

Even Melbourne is comparitively NOT  densely populated....the greater Melbourne is the same land area as the greater London...and London has 4+ times the population....ergo it's infrastructure cost is close to a quarter per capita.

Fallout 4 is 'rumored' to becoming out the last quarter of 1015, or first quarter of 1016.  So, 'hopefully' you haven't missed it yet.

This thread made me do a little research and it looks like there is no release date for Fallout 4, and in fact there are some rumors that it has been put on the back burner because Bethesda wants to push out Elder Scrolls 6 first.

Surprisingly little this year (that aren't holdouts from last year).

Seinarukana presumably comes out this year. Probably. I think in my year-in-review I forgot to note that it might get steins;gate'd into eternal limbo (oh the puns no one will ever get), but original steins;gate had significant editing and technical problems and from what I can tell the translator of Seinarukana is much better and has worked through most of the technical problems of that game. Probably. He's at the very least stopped complaining about it in public.

Rimworld I suspect will get full release this year. Author seems to be the kind of guy who would be wounded by it taking much longer given the amount he took in.

Path of Exile Act 4 comes out this year. That's going to be hype.

The only thing I ever kickstarted is scheduled to come out this year, wheeeee. (World End Economica) The only thing to pass my threefold test: get my interest (that's the easy one), have a competent pedigree (show your portfolio, show me you can manage this money, and coincidentally where most people fail), and actually require support to reach the goals (otherwise I'm just going to buy it on release).

fault milestone two comes out in February in Japanese, given the previous cycle for milestone one, translation will likely be done this year. Pensive anticipation. Many things could be done right, many things could be done wrong.

I imagine Trails in the Sky Second Chapter comes out this year. Probably. First Chapter was excellent and this series was apparently good enough to have like... 5 more games after it, so yeah. It IS scheduled for this year. After delays. Some people will cite translator problems. I cite "lol FC barely got all promised featured working at the end of the year, no way SC was going to release this year, incompetency all around".

The nitroplus fighting game might be fun to watch people play for a bit, but I expect a pretty poor game that these crossovers tend to be (ie. Waterpizza, DFC, and JJBA are all pretty bad fighting games. I think most of those were last year, too) Yeah, I'm digging for something to talk about, so I'll just stop writing.

So yeah. Grand total of.... two things with solid announced time frames. Year of Delays for me maybe?

Australia has slipped to 44th in world rankings. Even NZ is higher up at 42 - hehe.

In Auckland I have unlimited bandwidth but I do pay NZ$99 which is about US$77. BUt that includes landline and VDSL (a name they use to describe a tech that is faster than ADSL)

I'm having re(oc)curring dreams of abstract gaming sessions with mostly menus and numbers, and some minimalistic pictures here and there, but always wake up before getting to know them better. I think it is my brain telling me how bad I miss the C-64 era or something. Not sure what to look forward to in 2015, apart from this one. Might as well go for Heroes of Might and Magic III HD edition, since I can't get that old one to work on my computer anymore! In a week or so that is. I'm feeling a bit... retro...

Gosh, I've been looking forward to a whole lot of games scheduled to come out this year. There's The Witness - touted to be full of cryptic puzzles and picturesque landscapes; the Xbox one game Crackdown - the visuals on display in the trailer look awesome; Evolve - due to release this Feb 10; Star Wars Battlefront - this is the one I'm looking forward to the most of all and also of course Rise of the Tomb Raider. Gosh, it is going to be a busy year for game-lovers like me, I must say. And if the games are anything like what they're presumed to be, we're definitely going to have a whale of a time! Till then, I suppose it's just me and my son playing these pet games he loves so much on the PC at home... Sob.. such is life! v_v

Yeah, our internet is pretty pricey and slow as ass unless you live really close to an exchange.

As for the games I'm most looking forward to this year, that would be:
MGS V Phantom Pain
Batman: Arkham Knight
The Witcher 3
Homeworld HD Remaster
