Icons still jumping out of their fences

Some Icons don't stay in fences

Icons still jumping out of their boxes. Several months ago I asked about this problem and was advised to upgrade to version 2.13 which I did.

From View I unselect "Lock fences" and place icons in the fences and then select "Lock fences." It appears to work for a while and then one or two icons jump from inside one fence to the inside of another fence or to the desktop.

Suggestions?

Thanks, Kerry

I happen to come around these forums again because my desktop is getting cluttery. I remember reporting this same issue and getting a couple of tickets for it but the issue really never resolved and I just ended up uninstalling the program because of that. I hope it can be finally resolved so that I can install it again.

If Stardock can make a 360Desktop duplicate, I'd be fine with that too.

I submitted a ticket for a similar issue: My icons would jump the fence when saving. I later realized that I had the auto-arrange function for the desktop enabled. Unchecking it solved my issue.

EDIT: Unfortunately the problem still persists. Hoping to hear back from customer support. Cheers!

It's probably best to try the folder portals instead. Try organizing the items on your desktop in folders and then make the folder portals. Let's see how that works out.

dago1 - If you're desktop shortcuts cannot be moved, make sure you're using Fences 2.13. This is available to everyone as a trial or purchased copies via My Downloads.

If any of you have the 360 software installed, there is a compatibility issue with it and Fences. Uninstalling the 360 software allows Fences to work again.
