[0.60] The Yor

Really interesting, got about 240 turns in before the problems created the Wall.

firstly, where's Exploration Extension?  I can't find it.  I'm likely blind, but no support fields on starbases is a ... bit... of a disadvantage.  Typically its next to logistics, in Engineering; has it been relocated, and I'm simply too inept to locate it?

Next, the Yor can't go any higher than Terraforming. The next step is Disabled for Beta.  Again, slight disadvantage there.

Lastly, having the Precursor Builders bug happen with the Yor reproduction queue is more than a slight disadvantage; my capitol was hit with it around turn 100 or so, and refused to produce population, no matter what I did, and the secondary planet I picked up got hit around turn 160, but seemed to start producing pop again when I raised the cap, though it wouldn't do so when I removed population, and shifted it to my capitol.

Great work on the patch, things are coming along nicely, and for their problems, it was a very interesting 240 turns.

Regards.

Their morale tree is gimped in the same way. I wish they would make the tree bypass the disabled techs rather then letting them block whole tech trees. I guess that's the price of playing the beta.

what i found to work was cancelling the rushed project (assembly) and then starting it up again when assembly became rushed it stopped all upgrades from happening as well

Right, that was working, however, it doesn't seem to affect the Yor at all.

Tried that repeatedly, worked fine with other races; I'm playing an Altarian game, and have experienced the Precursor Builders bug 17  times.

Seventeen.

Works to reset them, though its quite annoying, and seems to be that it requires a reset of both of my planets, rather than just one.

Alternately, it just didn't take once, for reasons unknown?

Galactic Peace still doesn't force wars to stop.

Also, the Ultraterraformer is completely gone from the Altarian tree.

Colour me gobsmacked.

Its like a negative training wheel.

The Altarians went from starved for tiles to a wasteland wherein you can barely build the basics.

Makes me curious how the Krynn are at the moment.

Slightly unrelated - another annoying thing about the Yor is that you can't run the Assembly project if there are buildings that need upgraded.  Even if you cancel the upgrades, they'll keep getting re-inserted into the queue in front of Assembly when you end the turn.  The ideal option would be to let you move projects around in the queue, so you could just move Assembly in front of the upgrades, and cancel it when you want to start upgrading the buildings.

I've also had the bug where if an artifact "rushes" the Assembly project, the planet can't build anything until the project is cancelled.

i agree that being able to move the projects to the top and have them stay would be nice in some instances in most cases id rather it drop to the bottom

as for the buildings getting added back in if you select the govern planet option theres a checkbox for auto build upgrades just turn that off. and they wont come back in

18!

There were three anomalies in a corner, next to the Yor, who of course, were so backwards and stunted, at "genius" level, they couldn't reach out and grab them after turn 400... yeah.  Of the two artifacts, one was cash, and the other was yet another precursor builders.

Terraforming is still not being used when gifted to them.

Approval relics don't appear to be working.  They also still say "+approval", rather than "+goods and services".  Curiouser.

On that subject, the morale readout has become rather arcane; negatives are vaguely implied, rather than clearly stated, and the second number on the readout is very much not clear how its arrived at.  Lovely stack of attributes or modifiers under it, but my inner accountant is less than pleased with the inability to make heads or tails.

On the subject of relics, they're still ignored by the computer, as are resources.

For the Altarians, specifically, deleting a Temple of Tardis... that's probably not right, but fairly close, and should elicit a Whovian chuckle... does not allow you to rebuild it.  I put one in on Altaria, and Wisp, at the same time; Wisp took 4, Altaria 2.  When Altaria's completed, the one on Wisp vanished... logical within the framework of the game, if a bit nonsensical in real life.

Deleted the one on Altaria, to attempt to force them to pop at the same time on each of my world's... *poof*, gone from the list, never to return.

No more Temple of Bluebox for me.  Or the Altarians, which is essentially the same thing, at this point, I guess.

Sadness, but the game was won in a few more turns anyway, so the Altarians just had to live with their shame.

They won, but they lost.

*edit*  Reconsidered the terraforming thing.  Corrected my comment.  also reconsidered the galactic events thing, somewhat.  still seems much lighter on ideology.  */edit*
