Did you pickup anything in the Thanksgiving Steam sale?

Steam had their exploration sale over the Thanksgiving holiday, and although they had some decent stuff on sale, I didn't pick anything up.  Mostly because I had the few things I would have gotten, and adding to an already big backlog just doesn't make much sense.

Of course, that probably won't matter during the Winter sale. :)

Just extra weight. :P

No, I have everything I could want right now.

Nothing at all, surprisingly.

Huh, nothing here either... I see a trend here that retailers of all types aren't too happy about.

Did you not see anything you wanted, or didn't go on sale?  Just curious when dealing with sales.

Nothing I really wanted. Like you, I already have way too many games to play and there's no sense just buying stuff to have it... It just means I have more money to burn on other useless stuff. :D

I have a friend on steam called "Saphira" she is a steam level 111 and owns 400+ games with the stated goals to own 1,000 games and be steam level 200. She probably bought dozens of games.

I picked up Retro Pixel Castles for half price. It's still early in development, but it looks promising.

Most of what I got was launch sale stuff

King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match Final Edition

100% Orange Juice DLC

Momodora III

I picked up Endless Legends for about $17 in the Steam sale.

Dungeon of the Endless

My family only knows I'm alive because I keep swearing at the top of my lungs when I die. Such super fun and challenging game.

I spent my loose Steam Credits.

I started using G2A.com during the year, and frankly it's like having a permanent sale on everything. I picked up shadow of mordor for half price, lords of fallen for -40% and so on. Obviously the site comes with its own risks. If I hadn't already purchased those, I probably would have during this sale.

Bought a couple of copies of Prison Architect for some friends, otherwise I wouldn't even know what to want for myself (which is why I work at Initech to begin with...).

I've put a limit on the number of things I'll buy during holidays, rather than amount of money.

In this case, I got Galactic Civilizations III (20% discount), Saint's Row IV (75% discount, all dlc), and the Battlegrounds DLC for Legendary Heroes, which of course was not on sale at all.

Mass Effect Trilogy on Origin for a couple of bucks. I'll finally play it.

Nope. I'm a broke collage kid, so I have to spend wisely.

Endless Legend and Civilization Beyond Earth.

Also picked up Sorcerer King during Stardock's Autumn Sale just beforehand, and so far it is my favorite of the bunch!

Got a bloated backlog, and there is not much new in the strategy department atm. I already got Endless Legend, Scorcerer King, AOM III, Warlock II and basically all that matters :P

I saw that deal, which was a great one.  I picked up on a previous Steam sale for around $20 and have enjoyed it a lot.

I bought the first two Mass Effect games.

Yea, I have to agree.  I grabbed it a while back via HumbleBundle and immediately regretted not buying a cp earlier. It was on my radar as "compelling" but I've purchased so many games that looked compelling that ended up being fairly disappointing, but not Prison Architect - great game thus far.

The sale was pretty fortuitious - my friends were pretty hooked/intrigued by the alpha 27 dev video, so it was nice to be able to pick up a copy for them for only $6 a pop.  My one friend had already put in 2 days of play by the 2nd day he owned it, so easily worth money from the get-go.

Seems like I've purchased a lot of games (both for myself and friends) that don't really ever get played --- it's nice to buy one that gets some time logged on Steam.

cheers,

Didn't buy anything. Didn't see anything I was interested in. I already have so many games that I don't play that I purchased and was disappointed in them, then there were the massive bundles where I only wanted one or two games but the price for the bundle was cheaper than buying then separately, so I have way too many trash titles.

Not a damn thing, amazingly enough. First Steamsale I didn't buy anything on.

There was a few things I wanted to buy (Age of Wonders III, Mass Effect trilogy) but there wasn't any cards for x $ spent. I believe that will happen in the christmas sale.

I also got enough to play as is with an enormous backlog. Add to that that I only play games that run perfect on my old rig (Core 2 Duo and GTX 570) so that narrows it down a bit.

Wonder if Xcom: Enemy within runs perfect on it....
