Hi, problem with license currently associated with a different computer after formatting my computer

Hi, I recently bought the start8 software, and installed it on windows 8.1 (single computer)... however I had to reluctantly format the computer the same day.... since formatting my activation licence when I try to active the software keeps saying it is associated with a different computer.....help?
