i reaaly tried.

I copied files and made folders and stuff, but I'm not seeing a option to use a modd in game. Anyone know how to do this?

Never got into it much as one can cheat very, very easily via modding.  This is why I stopped modding with C&C Red Alert back in the day via the ini & map files...  lol

With that being said this is why I mainly play the base games and I expect many features in the base games to offset certain checks and balances to prevent one from going crazy.  I therefore to this day still only play Metaverse games in Galactic Civilizations II, however, I haven't finished one in a long time :P

Let the beast inside out so you may be free of all burdens.

I really don't recommend you do this at this time. You may give some very bad bug reports to the devs. But if you a set on doing it, check out how to mod Fallen Enchantress as I believe it would operate similarly here.

In Options/Gameplay there is a check box to use Mods but that is checked by default I believe.

My guess is that not all needed to make mods work is in and wont be till release.

You can mod the data files in the game's installation folder.  But I really wouldn't recommend it, unless someone comes up with a proper mod manager for that - to save you from having to manually backup and rename files.

The good news?  When modding is properly implemented, I've got a life support mod standing by for you to try out. :)

Like what has been said about the data files being modded you should back them up but if you break the game like i did !!!

go to steam right click properties  local files and then verify files usually will fix what you broke. but sending error reports might be a error itself.

So, I copied all the files to the mdds folder and put them in there corresponding place. When I started the game I tried cheching and unchexking the modds button but it wouldn't uncheck when went back, impliimg that the files loaded automatically.

I'll try to change some stuff and see if it works despite tjus likely being q really bad idea, but nows the time to get q early start on modding. :)
