Year 20-25

     Exciting times as the first interstellar colony of the new human empire is formed from an old colony ship from the last war. It was a class 16 with an active core and even though it had the remains of entertainment centers that were crude at best Emperor Ryat saw no reason to stop it and even understood that selling such entertainment was be useful. The citizens of the human empire took notice and became a bit more pragmatic in their business dealings causing wealth to increase. It never hurt to have too much money. Ryat made sure to quickly set up the fledgling colony to make it into a manufacturing power house in the future. The fact that the first starbase could cover it as well as the home system was a boon as well.

     On the other hand, contact had again been established with the Drengin as one of its survey ships had popped out of a wormhole and into the human's realm of influence. Emperor Ryat cursed as the ship flew off unharmed as he had no attack ships ready yet. Hopefully the Drengin were still far off long enough for him to begin building attack ships.

Year 30

     The Drengin homeworld has been found. A survey ship had come across a wormhole that sent it clear across the galaxy right into the laps of the Drengin. So far though, no attacks ships have been seen. Yet.

Kill em all with nukes and napalm!

Year 75

    Emperor Ryat looked over his growing empire with delight. Several new planets had been added to the empire. Large planets that had much potential in connection to shipyards. Also with the discovery of the where the Drengin Empire was allowed him to form a grand strategy for destroying them. One the south side of the empire was many planets close together forming almost a bridge between the two empires while on the north side was empty space between the two empires. Enough to require a lot of new technologies to be built in order to get past.

     Ryat knew how the Drengin fought. They loved battle and were quick to attack the largest points of an empire. This was often times effective as large areas were hard to defend and much damage was inflicted. Ryat planned to use this against the Drengin. He would fortify the south side as much as possible and keep them occupied there while he would have military starbases built in the northern area to facilitate sending an attack force around that end to surprise the enemy in that direction. This would leave their manufacturing areas open and allow them to be devastated.

     Thoughts of his wife came to his mind, long lost by the focus he had poured into building the human empire. Soon the humans would feast on the remains of the Drengin and his wife would be avenged.

Year 112

     Emperor Ryat watched over the funeral of the last of the original super soldiers. He was shocked by how long some lived given how quick and unstable the original formula was. It was specifically made for him so he suffered no ill effects but in giving it to others many problems had surfaced. While he had perfected a generalized formula that could be used on anybody during the war, the first group suffered myriads of medical issues that took many of them early. But it was a price they were willing to pay to fight back against the Drengin. Ryat activated the video he had created for this event and turned to other matters.

     The second shipyard had come online and was producing quite well allowing the expansion of the human space to spread more quickly and he had plans for a third soon. He was making sure to push closer to where the Drengin had been found but so far nothing. Which in some ways was good as he still did not have a battle fleet ready but that also meant he still did not have a clear picture of what they were doing. Would they do what they always have done and rush him? Or would they try something sneaky and surprise him? He needed more info and so he turned to his engineer division to begin formulating an armed scout.

Having found the Drengin home world so early, you should have gone right to weapons research and built some early combat ships. Knocking out the shipyards and keeping the combat ships overhead to keep knocking them out would prevent them from any further expansion. The only worry would be if their survey ship found a colony ship, need to kill that bugger as fast as possible. Then you can proceed at your leisure until you can build transports needed to capture the Drengin planets.

Drengin home world is on the other side of a large galaxy. Don't have the range for it. Only found it due to a survey ship going through a wormhole.

That, and this is more RP not bum rush tactics 101.

Year 146

     Armed scouts on the borders had engaged the enemy. Due to light weapons they were lost but not before revealing the weapons of the enemy. They too had only the most basic of weapons. Time to ramp up weapon research and hull size.

     Emperor Ryat looked over the data as it poured through the networks of his empire. The Drengin had become active though currently they were just snapping up all the small empty worlds that surrounded his bigger ones. Already, troop transports were on their way over to secure them back and a new ship type was being built. This was a laser armed ship as the Drengin have not shown a single shielded vessel as of yet. His anticipation filled him as the Drengin fell into his little trap.

     Emperor Ryat stood upon the charred ground of Drengi with a satisfied feeling in his heart. Or rather the massive battle bot he teleoperated from Earth through the massive networks of the human empire stood upon the charred ground. It didn't matter in the end. He had the bot built (and upgraded) from the beginning for exactly this moment and it/he was the first to attack Drengi. He had aimed for the very capital of the planet and empire and crushed the Emperor's House. When he saw that the Drengin emperor had attempted to flee, he had grab the little being and popped him into his mouth. A bot didn't need a mouth but he had one installed just for this occasion. The fact that he could grab any Drengin and put them in the mouth was also quite enjoyable. It made his revenge over his wife who was eaten by Drengin so much better.

     A burst of radio chatter crossed the channels asking for support in one of the few remaining pockets of resistance. He quickly swiveled the bot body and sent several rounds of plasma napalm in the requested direction. A fiery mushroom cloud with a messaged thank you told him all he needed to know. Not that he didn't look over the report that came over the info nets mixed with pretty pictures. He loved those pretty pictures. Fried, charred, vaporized piles of dead Drengin filled him with glee and watching the few that lived but where turned into walking torches made him chuckle. The Drengin Empire was finished. True, there were still planets full of Drengin waiting to be minced, mangled, smashed, vaporized, atomized, etc but the central power structure was demolished. They would have no hope to the growing human empire. Huge hulls full of lasers where now coming online to punish any who dared attack the empire.

     He had won. Now it was time to take the galaxy and then the universe and bring it under his domain, whether through diplomacy or war he would rule all. Time for the human empire to control the stars.
