Is Start8 Needed for WindowsBlinds

When I installed WindowsBlinds---8.05 (027 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS---on my Win-8.1 machine it was running the "Classic Start" and the Start Menu would not skin. Everything else worked fine except for that. Then I installed the trial version of Start8 and the problem resolved. So, is it also necessary to purchase Start8 in order to have WindowsBlinds skin the Start Menu? Thank you.

Start8 is designed to be compatible with WindowBlinds skins so your best bet would be to purchase Start8 if you wish to have the menu skinned.

WindowBlinds will skin any standard theme part compliant start menu.  Be that the Windows 7 one on Windows 7, or Start8 when on Windows 8.

Thank you for replying. That's was the direction I was leaning in, and personally whether the total cost is 9.99 or 9.99+4.99 for both, I still consider it a very good price.
