How on Earth does this thing work!?
I bought it to get a Start button back and I still have the ungainly Windows 8 tile menu shiiepile. And it won't register either - whenever I click on the configuration exe it asks me to register it but doesn't accept the info - saying it cannot write the activation signature.
I hate Windows 8!
We were having issues with the activations earlier, but they should be working correctly now. Please try again and I apologize for any inconvenience.
Nah still saying it can't write... So I downloaded Classic Shell - a *free* app which gave me back my Start menu and button.

Why would you use Start8 now that windows 8.1 is out? It makes most of these programmes redundant.
They were great for windows 7 and for windows 8 in its early form but now 8.1 is very nice to use and has taken most of the things programmes offer.
Windows 8.1 doesn't have a start menu, which is one of the main points of using Start8.
