I've purchased and activated MM, but cannot get past the configuration screen - I've selected to have fullscreen apps open in windows and for the switch button to be visible, etc., but these changes are not enacted (there is no 'apply' button or anything, either). Am I missing a step?
The settings that you choose should apply right away. There is no button to apply all the changes you make. If you open a modern app, it does not come up windowed?
Nope, not if I open it from the start screen, nor if I use the shortcut I've created on the taskbar. With the latter, the configuration screen just comes up again.
Have you rebooted since installation and is the ModernMix service running?
I'm having the same issue. Up until just a few or more days ago MM worked just fine; And then it stopped working altogether.
I've configured the usual, Rebooted, and still no luck.
I updated my Win 8 machine to the free Win 8.1 months ago and MM worked fine.
I just can't get it to do what it's always done.
It's been updated as well to its latest version.
I'm thinking of downloading it again from fresh to see if that works..... I'll let you all know.
Yes guys, all good, working again!
Uninstall it, especially with one that removes all files, registry, etc... (ie; Iobit Uninstaller - which I used). DO NOT reboot when asked so that you CAN run the powerful scan to remove all traces.
I then downloaded MM again from Stardock Store and happy to report - it works perfectly, just as before.
Problem solved.
