Can Create Fences, But not Portals

Just installed. Can create Fences. Can not create Folder Portals, tried all 3 methods. Reinstalled with 2.12, no change. Any ideas?

What OS? Have you rebooted since installing?

Just a note that folder portals require Windows 7 or above.

have Win 8.1 on a new machine with all updates. Folder portals does not even appear when I drag a rectangle (Teh option for create a fence appears, but not for portals).

Are you using a laptop, and if so, is it set for or using power saver/battery saver mode? If a desktop, have you disabled any video effects?

Those may disable some service(s) needed for portals to work.

Changed power setting to High and same problem
