How do I drag multiple fences at once?

When I change my display settings, my fences all shift to a different monitor. It's a pain dragging them back to the correct one, one by one.

What's strange is that I can middle-click drag (or move my mouse to the edge of the screen and drag) and all the fences move together. But they don't stick. They just snap back to their original position when I'm done dragging. Or they disappear, and I have to double click on the screen to get them to sap back.

Try turning on the per-screen-resolution setting under "Layout and snapping" in the configuration screen:

Ok I will try that. It will be a day before I can get back on the computer in question and give it a test. Thanks for the help.

Does this mean there is no way to drag the fences around as a group though?

It seems strange that you *can* drag them together with middle click, and yet.. the functionality to do so.. is broken by them snapping back.

If it were possible to move them as a group (as it should be) then I would pay for this product immediately.

The middle-click drag is not moving the fences it's switching to a new "page" or desktop area.

I'm aware it's switching to a new page. But the fact remains that by middle click dragging, all the fences move together.

So the fact that there is no means of moving all the fences together, aka "dragging multiple fences" is absurd.

It's one of those oversights that you just look at and think... wow there must have been some daft people behind this.

The fences aren't moving . . the page is.

Thanks for the feedback though.

What are you talking about? When I middle click and drag the fences all move together across my monitors.

If there's something different going on underneath that makes it so from the point of view of the underlying engine, the fences aren't the thing moving that's great. I don't care. Nor should any customer have to care about something like that.

I'm not interested in your excuses for why it's not possible to drag multiple fences.

I'm interested in you fixing the product to include this RIDICULOUSLY OBVIOUS functionality.

As this is working as designed, it can't be "fixed".

I will, however, log this as a feature request.

I would also like to see the functionality of "Dragging Multiple Fences at Once".

When I RDP to my PC with Fences installed it shifts the fences and if I don't have a recent snapshot I have to move the them all back one at a time. It's not a big deal, but it would be a nice feature.

This ridiculous oversight still has not been corrected.

Tis a feature request, not a bug needing 'correction'.
